It was the summer of '94 when we started the fight against the project to create a big sea-aquarium where the old seaplane base used to be ,because it meant turning a big natural area into a close water circus showing for a ticket imprisoned animals .
The promise that the aquarium would bring many new jobs was hard to fight , with us stood the mayor ,and the ecologists , declaring themselves against the aquarium ,so we felt even more the urge to find a proposal that would develop that very much degraded area ,left in recent years to became a open air dumping place .

After many meeting between ATI and LIPU ,we reached an accord ,end in the birth of the CHM.
